Bisonstorm thescoundrel tagged |
Gender: Tom
Age: 70 moons
Clan: Cougarclan
Rank: Senior Warrior
Short Description: Large, brown tabby tom with pale green eyes.
Appearance: Bisonstorm has always been a large cat. Even when he was a kit, he was bigger than any of his littermates. He has broad shoulders, a blocky head with black stripes, and large black-tipped paws. His tail is the only small thing about him, but even so it is short and stocky. The reason for his short tail is due to a nasty fox-bite he received on a patrol as a young warrior. Bisonstorm is also covered in several minor scars and two large ones-- one along his spine, the other behind his left ear. The ear itself has a large tear on the tip, also from a scrape. His eyes are a light green, cold and intimidating. He keeps his claws sharp, and his teeth sharper.
Personality:
There isn't much a cat could say in Bisonstorm's favor, so it makes sense to start here. One could say he is loyal to his family and his clan, and the warrior code. He is also very motivated, driven, and almost dogged in his the pursuit of his goals.
Bisonstorm is not a nice cat. He is only loyal to his family so long as they do as he says. Any deviation from Bisonstorm's instructions can and will be seen as mutinous and will be dealt with harshly. He has no time or patience for mediocrity in his bloodline, and if his descendants cannot measure up to his standards he will gladly prune the family tree. He views Cougarclan as the only worthwhile clan in the forest, and only works with other clans when he is ordered to by his leader. He would much rather sink his claws into the other clan cats.
This tom is vicious, cruel, and unyielding. He is truly is a scoundrel, and proud of it.
History:
Bisonkit was born into an affluent Cougarclan family, where the pedigree of its members was chosen very specifically. From a young age he was assured that he was better than the other kits in the nursery because of his bloodline and he happily believed it. Even among his littermates he was singled out as 'the best kit'. His littermates could never measure up to him, and all of his family's attention was focused on improving his skills.
When he became an apprentice his father was chosen specifically to mentor him. This was, of course, to more directly monitor his training. Bisonpaw endured grueling hours of intensive work, training until his bones ached. But he didn't dare complain, for how could he complain about being the best of the best? His father was only trying to ensure the continuation of his bloodline, and Bisionpaw was the future of this noble family.
He was made a warrior moons earlier than his contemporaries, as was expected of him by his family. As soon as his warrior ceremony was complete, he was introduced to his specially chosen mate. He was expected to produce a litter of spectacular kits. His mate gave him a tom-kit whom they named Bullkit, but his mate died in kitting. Bisonstorm never took another mate-- no she-cat was good enough for him.
Bisonstorm was a lot like his father and made Bullpaw's life difficult, even more difficult since Bullpaw was his only kit. Bisonstorm made sure that Bullpaw became the best warrior out of his contemporaries, and had hand-picked a she-cat for him by the time he was made a warrior.
He was gratified to be awarded with three grand-kits-- two toms and a she-cat. One of the toms was exceptional--Ramkit. The other, Goatkit, was sub-optimal. The she-kit would do for breeding purposes, and Bisonstorm fully expected her have as many kits as she possibly could, ideally spending her adult life in the nursery. Goatkit would be a spare. That was Bisonstorm's plan. He took Sheeppaw as his apprentice, though Bisonstorm insisted on interfering with Rampaw's training. Goatpaw had the most freedom out of his littermates. This was Bisonstorm's mistake.
When Goateye found out about his plans for his sister, Sheepcloud, he dared to challenged Bisonstorm's authority. This simply would not do--besides, Ramhorn had turned into a fine tom--the tom Bisonstorm had wanted. But Goateye? He was as good as dead to Bisonstorm. So, the tom invited Goateye for a walk, and when they got to the valley, he killed his grandson.
Now there was nothing to stand in the way of his grand plans. His bloodline would survive, at any and all costs. Even at the cost of some...bad apples.
