Birchstar is an honest cat and is a bit foolish in believing that others will be honest to him. Birchstar is known to be friendly to most and is devout follower of StarClan and it is that pious nature that encourages him to believe that most cats are good despite cruel intentions. He gives second, third and sometimes fourth chances when truly cats ought to be punish or exiled entirely.
History: Birchstar was quiet growing up, dedicated himself to his duties and proved himself a capable warrior. He was said to have been chosen to be deputy because of a dream had by the previous medicine cat. The medicine cat claimed they saw a single birch tree growing among the rocks in CougarClan territory and Birchpelt was the only cat known for having the name birch and so he was named the next deputy.
Birchstar learned of elite families through casual interaction in CougarClan and while he isn't exactly happy about it, he accepts their presence in the Clan as they benefit CougarClan and produce strong kits that better the Clan.
