Appearance: Blackreed towers over a considerable amount of clanmates. His sharps features are striking, making him stand out in the crowd. While his heritage is rumored, to be mixed of meadow stock, no one has dared confront him or his parents direclty. Not a powerhouse by fault of his build, Blackreed makes up for it in speed and agility. Capable of out pacing his foes with eas, Blackreed is surefooted and confident in the control he has over his body creating an almost ethereal illusion when he moves. An eye-catcher for sure, Blackreed prides himself on looking well kept and befitting the attention, even if he find himself a bit too different.  Personality:  Positive: Capable, Honest, Trusthworthy  Negative: Stoic, Jealous, Obessive  Blackreed is quite capable of holding back his emotions and does so on a regular bases that tuning into them is difficult. Blackreed's lack of ability to tend to his own heart makes him prone to boughts of brooding and obessive behavior. On bad days he will have to mark the same stone a few times, or touch a particular rock on his way to and from the camp. Despite his persistant state of shaded thoughts, Blackreed is a honest and true warrior of CougarClan. He's given flesh and blood for the care of his Clan and never thought twice about his sacrafice.  A guarded tom-cat, Blackreed has let down his walls on only the rarest of occassions and there the depths of his soul can be found. The softness of a cloud in the night, when the wind only gently moves it across the sky.  History: Born Black-kit with a sibling Greykit, the siblings weren't as well reguarded as their cousins. Black-kit and Greykit were kits of a third born, meaning their future unions weren't as imporant as a first or second born. Black-kit and Greykit grew up well and loved by their parents, even if their father was a bit dogmatic in teaching his kits. Shadowpelt, was more traditional, setting forth the standard for his kits, expecting them to uphold their elite family connection despite having little claim to it.  This continued well into their apprentice moons. Greypaw and Blackpaw were assigned mentors. Greypaw given to a fellow she-cat Ridgeflower, Blackpaw trained by Reedstripe. This was Blackpaw's first real exposure to his father's strict opinions about tradition. Blackpaw frequently overheard his father speaking with Ridgeflower, reminding the she-cat warrior about the importance that his daughter learned her skills, earned her name and prepared to bring forth a legacy. Blackpaw himself was given no expectation, but guilt formed in Blackpaw's heart early on.  For Blackpaw had no interest in she-cat, or the proper way to have kits. His romantic interests were for toms, Blackpaw turned his guilty emotion into anger and directed it at Greypaw. He became a parrot of his father's words and did his best to uphold his father's standard all the while wishing and praying that the moment never came that his father asked him to partake in raising kits.  Freedom from his father's misguided ways came from Reedstripe. Blackpaw and his mentor spent many moons working on his skills, doing all they could to ensure he could hold his own against his clanmates that were built differently. Blackpaw put in extra time into training till near collapse, which prompted Reedstripe to question Blackpaw and forth came all of his angst. Blackpaw bared his soul to his mentor, who looked at him only kindness, told him nothing would change how he admired Blackpaw for his hard work. Reedstripe became a second father figure to Blackpaw and while it took time, Blackpaw overcame the worst of his angst and lessned his attacks toward Greypaw.  Moons went on with little fanfare he and Greypaw were given their warrior names. Blackpaw having spoken up, requesting he be named after his mentor as a way of showing grattitude. Blackpaw was named Blackreed, his sister named Greythorn and the two joined the warrior's den.  Blackreed kept his romantic interests private out of fear of his father. His early warrior moons were quiet, unremarkable which Blackreed felt grateful for. Then came a moment to train his own apprentice. He taught Lizardpaw who became Lizardtail, Blackreed stood proudly before Birchstar as Lizardtail's name was called, that night Reedstripe retired to the elder's den.  Blackreed's life returned to normal till recently, a sickness overtook CougarClan taking the life of his father. He moruns for the tom's death, but with his absence there is an odd sense of freedom for Blackreed.
